What is Publica Now?

Publica Now is an independent creator marketplace where writers, musicians, visual artists, photographers, filmmakers, and educators publish and sell digital work directly to readers. The platform hosts works across 8 content categories — literary, music, visual design, photography, film, courses, zines, and poetry — and processes payments via Stripe with Adaptive Pricing, so buyers see their local currency at checkout. Creators set their own prices, keep 85% of every sale (minus a $0.50 transaction fee), and retain full ownership of their rights.

Nicolás Parola

Nicolás Parola

Hey, I'm Nico — a product leader, a vibecoder, and an Argentine who traded the Río de la Plata for the Mediterranean. I've spent 14+ years building and scaling digital products — from a B2B/B2C publishing platform serving Latin America and Europe, to a massive government technology program across 1,500 public schools in Buenos Aires. I've worked with startups, international organizations, and everything in between. Currently CPO at Publica.la. I care about products that actually solve problems, teams that ship with intention, and the weird magic that happens when you let AI into your creative process. When I'm not shipping features or prompting things into existence, you'll find me deep in a fantasy novel or walking my bodeguero andaluz through some Spanish town. Welcome to my little space on the web.

Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121–180 AD) was Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD and the last of the Five Good Emperors. A practitioner of Stoic philosophy, he is best known for his private journal, the Meditations — a series of personal reflections on virtue, duty, and the nature of existence written during military campaigns. Never intended for publication, the Meditations became one of the most influential works of philosophy in Western history and remains the definitive text of Stoic thought in practice.
